SaintBernadette.info was founded by myself, Morgan Sharpe, a long-time advocate for greater recognition of St. Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes.

I have been involved for many years as a volunteer in Lourdes, which is where I had a conversion experience. If you would like to hear all about this, you can listen to a podcast of a radio interview I did at Radio Maria Ireland with Fr. Eamonn Mc Carthy here: Conversion Story.

During my time in Lourdes, I developed a special friendship with Vittorio Mechelli, who has the honour of being confirmed as the recipient of the 63rd approved miracle of Lourdes.

Right photo: The morning after Vittorio had given his testimony in Galway Cathedral, we travelled to ‘Nuns Island’ where a community of Carmelite nuns reside. Vittorio presented the nuns with a ceramic plaque of the Virgin with the Child Jesus. Needless to say they were ‘overjoyed’.

Dear reader, if you ever get a chance in the future to visit Lourdes I would strongly encourage you to do so, and if you feel moved to become a volunteer worker there, I can assure you that you will receive a great sense of satisfaction, peace and fulfilment from being involved in this great work of charity.
