Morgan Sharpe recounts the series of incidents that took place at Lourdes in 1858, which led to ‘Our Lady’ of Lourdes becoming one of the most visited pilgrim sites in the world. The site has been the source of countless reported miraculous cures, 70 of which have been documented by medical science. This radio presentation is courtesy of Radio Maria Ireland.

A simple definition of humility is knowing your place and taking your place. Our Blessed Lady knew her place and took her place every time and God raised Her up to place Her in the highest place in heaven. Fr. Eamonn Mc Carthy, Priest Director of RMI, and I, introduced two special guests, namely:
David Carrigy and Jennifer Lenehan, both of whom have given many years loyal service in Lourdes.

As is usual with these “Housewakes” the neighbours sit around sipping tea or sometimes something stronger if available and talk about the corpse lying in the coffin. As time passes this small talk dries up and a silence descends on the mourners.
This is exactly what happened in my case, so I escaped to the back yard.
