First Class Relic of Saint Bernadette – Parish Visitation

Featured

Dear Friend,

My name is Morgan Sharpe and I am in the privileged position of having in my possession a first class relic of Saint Bernadette of Lourdes. I was given this relic15 years ago and since that time I have been promoting its veneration. Great interest has been shown by parishioners
in the various churches I have already visited.

I am hoping that other parishes will take up the offer of bringing this relic of Saint Bernadette to their church, where each participant will be individually blessed with the relic and gifted a Rosary beads and prayer cards to remember this special occasion.

While no expense is involved, a certain amount of planning would be desirable. The relic itself is a ‘Rib of hair’ taken from the head of Sister Marie Bernard (Bernadette’s name in her religious order).

If you would like this relic of Saint Bernadette to be brought to your parish, please view or download the flyer below for further information.

Lourdes: Mary’s Warning for This Advent

Mary’s warning at Lourdes wasn’t only for 1858 — it’s for us right now, in a world distracted, divided, and starving for grace.

In 1858, a 14-year-old girl named Bernadette Soubirous encountered a mysterious Lady in the grotto of Massabielle. Officials tried to silence her. Crowds mocked her. Doctors couldn’t explain her. But Bernadette stayed faithful — and Heaven kept speaking. Then came the message: “Penance, penance, penance. Pray to God for sinners.” In this episode, we explore:
✦ What really happened during the Lourdes apparitions
✦ What Mary told Bernadette — and why she said it
✦ Why “penance” is a message the modern world ignores
✦ How the miraculous spring appeared
✦ The first medically documented cures at Lourdes
✦ The moment Mary revealed: “I am the Immaculate Conception”
✦ How the Church investigated and confirmed the apparitions
✦ Why this message is perfectly timed for Advent preparation

Morgan Sharpe’s Testimony & Interview with Fr. Damian Farnan.

Morgan Sharpe & Fr. Damien Farnan

Recorded presentation: Radio Maria Ireland Studios:
16th April 2025.

In this podcast, Morgan Sharpe, founder of the St. Bernadette website, recounts how his life was transformed from a very average, disinterested attitude towards his Catholic faith, to a committed and passionate involvement, thanks to the intercession, he believes, of St. Bernadette of Lourdes. This conversion dates back to 1979, when he accompanied his wife Carmel to Lourdes. While there, out of boredom, he offered to help some of those with disabilities. That offer was to change his life forever, and resulted in him returning to Lourdes for many years after to help those less fortunate than himself.

Morgan Sharpe on the Lourdes Rosary.

Recorded presentation: Radio Maria Ireland Studios:
11th Feb. Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Morgan goes over the miracles attributed to the rosary, followed by the fascinating history of St Bernadette and the apparitions at Lourdes.

N.B. Both Equero and Madame come from a musical entitled “Bernadette de Lourdes”. This musical tells the story of the Apparitions in Lourdes to St Bernadette, in fact they researched the events using the actual notes taken at that time. “The song of Bernadette” was composed by Leonard Coen and song by Jennifer Warnes.

Testimony: Miraculous Cure from Terminal Cancer at Lourdes

Recorded presentation: Radio Maria Ireland Studios:
11th Feb. Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes & Feast of the World Day of the Sick.

During Part One of the show Morgan Sharpe recounts some of the many difficulties faced by St. Bernadette during her lifetime at Nevers, France.

In Part Two Morgan introduces us to a remarkable story by guest speaker, Philip Brennan from Carryduff, just outside of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Philip had a miraculous cure from terminal bowel cancer while on a pilgrimage to Lourdes.

Philip also recounts how he didn’t want to go to Lourdes, and refused several offers of support to get there, until he received help from a very generous and unusual source. Philip’s wife Catherine also recounts how she coped with both the news of the medical verdict, and the miraculous cure that followed.

Despite all the good news, Philip was left unable to work, which resulted in him suffering from depression. However, once again that need was answered by another set of ‘unusual’ circumstances, which led Philip into the beautiful world of Iconography.

Reminder: The Feast of St. Bernadette takes place on April 16th.
